Weird not to include the player of the year on the All-Big East team, but whatevs.

Nice to see Chase getting a lot of respect. I look forward to seeing another Marquette player or two outperform some of the guys named to the second and third All-BE teams.

no it isn't good players play for good teams, and good players win. It is weird to include providence players however

Also confused with the first team having six players, the second team having five, and the third team having seven.

If Ross turns out to be that good we probably a fringe top 25 team

If Shaka isn't just blowing smoke about the improvement of Hamilton and Zaide, possibly more.

Doubt Shaka plays that game.

Any chance Caedin starts at the 5, with Ben at the 4 or is Ben the 5 and Royce the 4?

tower912

Prior to media day, I was positive Ben was the 5.  I still lean that way but am no lo ger 100%.  I believed Josh and Caedin would combine for maybe 20 minutes per game.  I now think that number is higher.   There are 80 minutes at the 4/5. 27 each for Royce and Ben, 26 for Josh/Caedin.

Until I see it, I'm chalking it up to coach speak, but if Caedin can be starter level at the 5, that changes us radically. Ben's skillset probably makes him a better offensive fit at the 4 and he could really be a defensive boon with that length on the perimeter and help side shot blocking. Not to mention how Royce would be a perfect 2-5 backup (not that he'd play the 2 but he could replace Chase or Zaide & the other would slide to the 2).

Hamilton, Gold, Parham, Ross, Owens.

get that short stuff off my court
