Good question. We'll see, it's every 5 years for Phil Knight's birthday (hence PK80, PK85). Last one was 2022; not hearing about it makes me think it's done.

It may depend on whether PK is still alive next year. The 2022 one wasn't announced until 2021, so it's possible PK90 could be announced for 2027.

I asked a friend who runs the Players Era why MU hasn't been invited. He said they have reached out and want us, but MU is booked for MTEs for the next few years.

This isn't accurate. Maybe someone was told this, but Marquette isn't committed to any future MTEs.

Timezone adjustment?  I thought he'd be way more about the shooting background adjustment going from a smaller than a high school gym to an NBA arena.

If Maui is on the ropes...I guess it is likely a NIL cash strapped issue...It is sad and what a quick drop from prominence.  The event 2 years ago had what 6 top 25 teams and 4 top 8?  It was also an incredible event that was a lot of fun to go to.

NIL really isn't that much of a thing anymore following the House settlement. It's more controlled now for reasonableness. Money needs to get directly to the schools now. Problem is the schools are not making any money on these events and likely  actually lose money due to travel costs.
