Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Looking forward to the big MU Scoop patch that our annual fees can pay for.

It will probably be a plate or basket of some sort, maybe on a long pole that the ushers will stick down the rows during timeouts and halftime.

Nice of them to do it the day after Taylor Swift's album release to not overshadow it.

Quote from: tower912 on September 23, 2025, 08:18:03 PMMU has landed players during the NIL era.  MU has retained players in the NIL era.  MU has paid players during the NIL era.  I have little doubt that MU, under Shaka, will continue to get quality recruits.

What you haven't seen is MU engage in a bidding war.  What you haven't seen is MU engage in negotiations to make one incoming freshman get a better deal than another.  You will not see MU dropping a $1.5 million bag on a recruit.

The NIL world is evolving.  It is different this season than last.  Schools and conferences are working to adapt to the new rules and will continue to do so.

Pearl played the game extremely well last season under the old rules, getting an extremely old and experienced team.  Those rules have changed, and the pool of players has changed.

Shaka has remained rock solid.  The recruits and their families appreciate his commitment and his eschewing the portal.   With the constantly evolving rules, it may turn out that he is far ahead of the curve.

Question: How may players (football too) who entered the transfer portal did not wind up anywhere? There is a cautionary tale there somewhere.

Tons, but a lot who go into the portal know they may not find another home for various reasons
The portal is NOT closed.
