MU has landed players during the NIL era.  MU has retained players in the NIL era.  MU has paid players during the NIL era.  I have little doubt that MU, under Shaka, will continue to get quality recruits.

What you haven't seen is MU engage in a bidding war.  What you haven't seen is MU engage in negotiations to make one incoming freshman get a better deal than another.  You will not see MU dropping a $1.5 million bag on a recruit.

The NIL world is evolving.  It is different this season than last.  Schools and conferences are working to adapt to the new rules and will continue to do so.

Pearl played the game extremely well last season under the old rules, getting an extremely old and experienced team.  Those rules have changed, and the pool of players has changed.

Shaka has remained rock solid.  The recruits and their families appreciate his commitment and his eschewing the portal.   With the constantly evolving rules, it may turn out that he is far ahead of the curve.

There: a place you point at and many other things.
They're:  they are
Their: belonging to them.

It didn't work for BC in third grade or in any of the last several decades. Good try, teach, but some students are just flat out dumb.

I just hope Shaka has the cash requires to land you're grandson.

BCHoopster

I hope he is good enough to start in high school, then worry about college 4 or 5 years from now.  All about height!  Right now he is very good, had a great summer.

That is a very kind sentiment.  I think most of us share it.   Why are you so concerned about the condition of MU basketball?   What troubles you?  Recruiting?  Culture?  Coaching?  Finances?

It's going to get more difficult, not less, to sell NIL at teams which are not performing in the Big East.

Now that D.C. is the safest, most crime-free city in the history of America, one would think Georgetown hoops would be an easy draw for big-time NIL $$$.
