I think part of the number of posts is due to expressing that same sentiment. Also, maybe just because I'm online more than the average person, Kirk is a much bigger name than them and more controversial.

If you are wondering why it's a lengthy topic here, it's because of his influence over the country and policy. He was a de facto mouthpiece and propagandist of the current administration. Even in his last week, after a call from the POTUS he told his millions of followers to stop worrying about the Epstein files. His influence over millions of loyalists to the administration is beyond cultish and the comments by his widow (obviously written for her by the Trump administration, probably Kirk's best friend JD Vance) were pretty much a call to violence against those they want to have been the perpetrators.

There is also a witch hunt for private citizens, politicans and even military personnel who dared say anything remotely critical of Kirk. Secretary of Defense Jim Beam is currently rooting out any military members who were critical of a private citizen.
