Pretty small minority. I scraped the site a while ago and pulled together some data to see for myself. Told a pretty sad and pathetic story actually. Was frustrated because the main way I access the site is via the "Recent Posts" section and it was constantly clogged with off topic cherry picked political slop. Thankfully, the Mods removed The Superbar from the Recent Posts, so all is fixed for me now. Thank you Mods!

Both things can be true.  It's terrible he's dead and his children will be fatherless. It's also true he was a terrible person who was racist, homophobic and transphobic and the worst kind of political commentator.

For the second time for my wife and I, a school shooting far away struck way too close to home.  The school shooting in Colorado was next door to an elementary school where a friend has their kindergartener enrolled.  A 5 year old got a little extra education today, learning about live shooter protocols for 5 year olds.

God is not going to be kind to those who aggressively defend gun violence.  What about having no gods before Me?  What about beating swords into plowshares?  Acceptable collateral damage and racist dog whistles in defense of guns is not a conversation one wants to have to defend to St. Peter at the pearly gates.



Edit:  the child in question is the niece of my neighbor.   My neighbor was out visiting her sister, bil, and niece last week.  She went in to read to her niece's class last Friday and was there for the live shooter drill they held.  So, the good news is that the 4 and 5 year olds were prepared.

Our country is at a tipping point that could very well lead to a Civil War in the near future.  We are lucky enough to be able to disagree about politics in the USA.  However, the level of vitriol and violence is now completely out of hand.  We desperately need to take a step back and collectively find a way to save our country from utter chaos.
