What do people think about the head of the FBI coming out and saying they had "the subject for the horrific shooting...in custody," when it was not the individual involved.

That's pretty embarrassing, and horrible investigative/police work.

Eye-opening. I did not appreciate he wasn't qualified until just now.

The only thing we should be surprised about is that political violence isn't happening more often.

America's insistence on ignorance over education has always been what will be our undoing.

Whether it's our rejection of science over  superstition, our fear of understanding history over embarrassment of our past or lust for fame and fortune over common decency, we've been heading down this path a very long time.

We had the opportunity to overcome the injustices of our inequalities but instead of striving to fight the oligarchs, we've allowed ourselves to be stuck in pointless culture wars, perpetuated by those in power.  We are here because we reject knowledge.

A black police officer was killed at the CDC a month ago by a lunatic who was radicalized against the CDC.  Flags at half staff for him?  A word of condemnation from the administration?  Of course not.

Who would have thought pushing out senior officials and hiring podcasters to run the agency was a bad idea?

Since he's not a white Christian male, he was obviously a DEI hire. Just goes to show what happens when you don't hire the straight white Christian male.
