Agreed JAM.  And if there is any truth to the 40 fouls, they are trying to work the kinks out on pressuring the crap out of teams.  Can't wait for the season to start.  Need to see these guys play before I can come to any conclusions.

TallTitan34

I would wait until a more reputable source reports some information instead of a random, newly created twitter account following known troll accounts.

Yeah, account created in October 2025, 6 followers, that's the definition of a BS post.

But, if they had said MU won by 12 I'd be all in on it.

I have heard we lost from my cousin who knows some of the players on the team. I have zero clue about the 40 fouls however. Either way, does not matter. They run a bunch of stuff in scrimmages like 2 min drills in the middle of the scrimmage, have rotations that we will not see during reg season and also coaches will not run certain sets as they want to save them for reg season.

That wouldn't surprise me.

Colorado has 8 guys over 6'8" and three 7 footers. A team like that will always give us problems. Elijah Malone was a guy Shaka looked at in the portal and he is like 6'10" 300 pounds. Just a scrimmage and a tough matchup for us.

So long as we made it out of there healthy that's all that matters.

Why?  Mizzou has 8 guys over 6'8", a 7'5" player, a 7' player, and two 6'11" players and we apparently just beat them in a scrimmage.

Marquette has two 6'11" guys and a 7'1" guy.

Disagree.  Losing is contagious and accepting scrimmage losses is the path to more losing.

It's not really a secret that we struggle against the bigs that operate in the post and use their size well. We don't even know what the scrimmage setting was. Was it set up like a standard game? Was it set up in different little mini games? Did they play normal rotations.

Either way. No big deal. Just a scrimmage. Health is priority number 1.

Malone played 4 years at the NAIA level for 139 career games.  He played 34 games for Colorado last year, so his career total going into his 6th year is 173 games.  I'm going out on a limb to say Malone will be the all time leader in total college games played after the year, provided he doesn't have an injury.  Could be up to 205 plus game at the end of 2025-26.  David Joplin holds the MU record with 139 games played.

Do we "struggle against the bigs that operate in the post and use their size well," or do we struggle against some of the better players in college basketball, like most team will struggle against?

Fun little fact.

Wonder how many years of eligibility after this one the NCAA will give him.

Fair question, though there have been a handful of bigs nowhere close to the best or better college players in the game that have given us problems at times.

It's also not really a secret that we can't beat Big Ten teams or that Shaka can't beat Gard, except both happened last year. New team, new year. Who knows what this season's team can or can't do yet? Maybe opposing centers will have problems against this Marquette team.

I like playing CU. Tad Boyle is a good coach so I can see real value of facing his team. I thought Boyle would be a solid coach for MU if Shaka didn't come.
