We can't make any putts.  It's absurd.  These greens are not difficult at all.

Quote from: CreightonWarrior on September 27, 2025, 07:59:36 AMI'm starting to come around to the idea Keegan saw the fleetwood Rory pairing and punted the matchup.

I'm not sure you can be punting points down 3.

MuggsyB

Scheffy has to find a way to win that Final match with Henley or it's pretty much over.

cheebs09

Not sure Scottie needed to try and match Tiger's legacy in Ryder Cup too.

MuggsyB

Morikawa and Xander's putting has quite frankly been an unmitigated disaster.   Absolutely killing us!

MuggsyB

Wrong club choice for Henley on 14.  Simply can't happen.

Guys just aren't getting it done.  Tremendous opportunities all morning.

Stunning conplete gag on 18 by Scheffy.  This has been beyond BRUTAL.

"Hey guys, I know it didn't work out well at all in foursomes yesterday. Let's run it out there again though!"

The best thing I saw on Twitter was someone saying Keegan looks like a chain restaurant manager working a Friday night with an understaffed crew.

I think that's fair.  Now, it's not all his fault.  Other than Young, none of our guys have played well.  But there is honestly no explanation for several of his decisions.

The scary thing is Rahm, Fleetwood, and Rory aren't going anywhere.  Aberg is an up and comer.  Where do we go from here?  Especially with Morikawa/Xander hemorrhaging game wise?

Quote from: MuggsyB on September 27, 2025, 07:41:41 AMWe should be keenly aware of the tight fairways and greens on this course. The fact that many of our players are over spinning, constantly, is a bit troubling imo.

Do you not realize that Keegan produced the course conditions as the home team captain.
There are no tight fairways except for 18.  Keegan increased the fairway widths a lot and reduced the primary rough.  Bethpage's greens are mostly flat, therefore making the tournament a putting contest, which it has been. During yesterday's afternoon matches, the US missed 9 putts within 10 feet for either a win or a tie. All on the back 9.

Keegan going to get slaughtered with his pairings, especially Harris/Morikowa today, no Spann or Burns this morning, etc.  They have to sweep this afternoon to do it, but again no tight fairways.  Enjoy pm matches.

The commentators said that the fairways were tight.  Maybe that was just one hole.  Why have we been over spinning approach shots with mostly flat and soft greens?  Ty.

Shoot every American player like dogs except Bryson

Come on now. It's difficult to hit a wedge when you've got both hands wrapped around your throat.

WE made lots of putts - right in the faces of all the boorish dipsh!ts so cleverly counting. Especially nice work by Hovland down the stretch.

No, he lives in Jupiter full time.

Again, putting. Cam Young just missed 7 footer for win.

MuggsyB

Maybe it's me but Bethpage with the changes isn't playing like a championship or Ryder Cup course.

Oh...really?  My mistake.

Another missed putt.  And Burns is a great putter.  Very upsetting.

Spaniel with a Short Tail

These are better pairings by Keegan. That was some shot (and follow through) by Bryson.

And they're only one up.
