Yahoo Sports' NBA guy Kevin O'Connor has Kam going 42nd overall to the Kings. His assessment:

Jones offers crafty combo guard skills with advanced shot creation and a blossoming playmaking feel. But his so-so athleticism and streaky shooting paint him as just a cog rather than the rare star upperclassmen set to enter the league.

His NBA comp is Donte DiVincenzo. Hmm.

That seems like an odd comp, seeing how DiVincenzo's athleticism is his greatest asset.

He's transitioning into being a true point guard. His passing really improved this past year. His shotmaking really did not. I think he's an elite-level finisher. He has a great touch, and obviously a lot of it is left-hand-dominant, but I believe in his finishing. His two-point scoring improved a lot as his career went on. Obviously he won't be able to get as deep as he was able to in college in the NBA because of the size, but he also can pass.

I'm concerned about his overall shooting. I think he'll be an off-the-bench guy, and his ceiling, if his shooting can come around, could be better than that. He's not very big. He has to get stronger just to compete against the size that exists in that league. So he's going to have to guard points and he's gonna have to continue to develop his playmaking and his shooting has to improve.

I think he is stronger than people think. As for his size, I had an earlier post comparing his size (very similar) to some of the top '2' guards in the League. He is taller than the majority of PGs in the NBA. Listed heights are generally useless.

Of course I got a lot of criticism because people don't read well -  they thought I was actually comparing Kam's game to these guys when I was ONLY pointing out that his size will not be the reason he makes it or not in the NBA.

His athleticism may be a problem - his size will not be.
