Pitino referenced recently that he would have more money available to him.    I guess he was referring to this.

And, if MU is going to have a set NIL budget, Shaka's statement about not needing an agent makes even more sense.
BTW, an I only the only one noticing  that agents are the ones announcing major portal entrants.

Sure have. You still have to raise the money. Media rights go towards funding all sports at MU. The excellence fund is critical.

If the premise of the article turns out to be accurate, this would stabilize NIL, make Shaka's approach a model rather than an outlier, and encourage coaches to remain in the Big East.
