I would agree with that.   I think Rico is stealthily a genius.  You can't make that many people that mad  by adopting their posting style and using it against them without having some serious gray cells.

Dent went 5-12 against the most comparable defensive team to Marquette. Marquette also has better guard defense then SJU. Dent will not go for 40. It'll be an impressive game for him if he hits 20 while shooting 43%.



Marquette is 26 in Kenpom DRtg. Against the no. 24 defensive team, VCU, Dent had 40.

At St. Johns, Dent played better than Kam, with 6 assists to Kam's 1, and only 3 fewer points. Where the Lobos struggled against St. John's most was in rebounding (Nelly had just 4), but still did better than Marquette (-17 to -22). And I think we'll have the rebounding advantage over Marquette.

Who's comparing Dent to Ja Morant? I've never heard that comparison made. He's by no means an exceptional athlete like Ja. I'd say he's more like old-man Andre Miller.

If the refs let them play, the game's a toss-up. With a tight whistle, Marquette will be impacted more and the Lobos win by 7-12.

With Dent pretty much guaranteed 50 points against Marquette's lousy defense, I wonder if it's too late for Shaka to reject the NCAA bid and go to the NIT.

If he does that, and also punches one of his players in the face, it will make him a Marquette legend!
