Broeker didnt hire Shaka and Shaka didnt want Broeker to be the AD.  There is already some disconnect there.

The new prez will be forced to make a move when the money stops flowing into the program, whether he likes Shaka or not.

I can't refute your assertion, so if you are correct,  MU sports have intentionally been placed on the back burner by university leadership. This is a sinking ship that the board placed totally incompetent captains in place presumably because they don't care about MU basketball.

It is possible, DePaul has done the exact same thing.

The idea that the university president, the AD, and the BOD don't understand the importance of MUBB is absurd.

What should Broeker or Kimo do about "the situation?" I think everyone, including Shaka, is aware that the results we've seen aren't acceptable. I think anyone who would fire Shaka after his first missed Tourney appearance without letting him correct the situation is insane.

Iowa st recruits Wisconsin better than Shaka or Gard, and Iowa St is in the middle of nowhere.  They must have money to spend. We rather give money to many players that deserve nothing.  Really like Caedin's answer about coming to MU, "No one else recruited him", that's on Shaka. As is Clark, not one big time program in Texas recruited him, is't that telling?

Just watched Wisconsin beat Michigan at Michigan. I have to admit they are very well coached team well-balanced and a pleasure to watch they passed the ball they rebound. They have good all-around talent. Our team is lacking talent it's not balanced it's poorly coached and has a Helter skelter offensive nonsense way of playing. I don't watch them anymore sorry and I've been a Marquette fan for well over 50 years hard to watch I don't root for them not in their present form.

Maybe this is the year Always-Gets-It-Done Gard makes a Sweet Sixteen with a roster that wasn't assembled by Bo Ryan for the first time. Wish we had a coach that knew what he was doing.

IMO smart can hold a candle to Gard. Guard is simply smarter than Smart. You can tell by the way they play offense with their sets and they play better defense much better coached. UT is laughing at us. They knew exactly what we were getting. But it's also the administration which is to blame not to mention the donors.
