Quote from: WhiteTrash on February 17, 2026, 08:00:00 PMIs this good news for Packer fans? I seem to recall a lot of criticism of the STs.

Only if they start actually valuing special teams. McVay and his tree seems to ignore that. The Packers have been absolute trash on ST across multiple coordinators.

Has a special teams player who was the MVP of the packers a few years back considered coaching???

welp, the administration's FCC appointee has ruled on the Bad Bunny halftime show and the "filthy lyrics" complaint from Rep Randy Fine (R-year of 1948)

"I reviewed them carefully, and I found no violation of our rules and no justification for harassing broadcasters over a standard live performance," Gomez stated, dismissing the lawmaker's suggestion.

The people in the show didn't look like me, which is racist.

The Seahawks are supposedly ready to move on from SB MVP Kenneth Walker rather than transition- or franchise-tag him. Given how many good RBs will be available much cheaper, I guess I don't blame them.

So...the Bears are seriously going to move to Indiana aren't they...

I'd say it's not impossible, but still highly unlikely. Things are moving in Springfield.

My son was wearing his Caleb shirsy at Costco this weekend and a guy gave a Bear Down, which my son loves to yell back to people, but then wanted to chat about the stadium.  He was originally from north of Schererville and was INSISTENT that they were going to move to NW Indiana (based on nothing substantial) and wanted to wax fondly about how good of a move it would be cause how hard it was for his family to go to Soldier Field back in the day.  I couldn't creep away fast enough.

So the primary point of getting a stadium built is to increase the value of the franchise for when the McCaskeys sell, right?  Are we sure that prospective buyers will pay a price for the Gary Bears that results in a greater net return for the McCaskeys than for the Bears who own land in Arlington Heights and just need to get over a property tax pissing match to build a stadium there?

Ah yes, we needed a take from the guy who created a bunch of the financial problems the state is fixing.

I think a lot of the criticism of Pritzker and the State of Illinois misses the point. A place like Hammond needs the Bears way more than Arlington Heights does. And Chicago certainly doesn't "need" them very much at all.

So the price that Illinois is willing to pay to keep the Bears in Illinois certainly is going to be lower than Indiana is willing to pay to move them to Hammond. In the end, AH will get that property developed, and Chicago will still be a world class city. But Hammond? Eh...

Tried to tweet like Trump without the skill of a true internet warrior and came up looking like a total dork.

And that's not even mentioning someone saying "I would have been a better governor for this" when they had not 1, but 2, unanimous votes preventing them from every holding public office in the state again
