Well, of course it's the guy behind such family classics as "Balls in Your Mouth" and "Early Mornin' Stoned Pimp." You know, the artist who penned child friendly lyrics like "Pretty girl in the ghetto, go figure/Yeah, she got macked by some dope dealin' n-----" and "She's half your age and twice as hot... Oh she wakes up every morning and she folds my clothes."

Relax, your TDS is showing. You need to stop getting so triggered by locker room/dentist office talk

To You Bears fans is Naggy any good?
I believe he won NFL Coach of the Year. He seemed to be a solid OC for the Chiefs, but not HC material. I'd give the Giants a B for the hire.

The most interesting OC hire was by Ravens; defensive HC hiring a 29 year old with no play calling experience. Declan may be a genius, but it is a major risk to turn everything over to a young and inexperienced guy. Sorta has the feel of when the Raiders hired a young Mike Shanahan.

$100 million lawsuit against DK Metcalf.  Ambitious, over the top, frivolous.    I will be curious what the settlement is.  I predict the ubiquitous 'undisclosed amount'.

The Chiefs instantly brought back Bienemy, and wished Nagy well the second this contract in KC ended.

Nagy was fine, but I feel like the double doink broke his brain, and he couldn't get past it. Trubisky not developing didn't help him either.
Willfully misinformed.

It was Nagy's choice to leave KC. He wanted to go somewhere he could call plays, believing it would increase his chances of getting another shot as head coach.
Not sure what he'll make of it, but the Giants are a really good opportunity for him. Dart, Skattebo and Nabers make a nice young core to work with.

Did he tick off the president?

Wasn't Shanahan way more experienced?  He was the OC for a top 10 Florida team and then spent a couple years with Reeves in Denver, including being the OC for back to back SB teams.  And like 6-7 years older than Doyle, besides almost a decade more coordinator experience.

It seems like Doyle did well with Johnson and is respected/interviewed well.  But it seems like the "genius by association" trend in hyper drive.  He spent time under Sean Payton and Ben Johnson...BOOM WONDERBOY.

Nah ... it's only $100 million.

I think everything you said is true. Since Doyal is only 29, I had a hard time coming up with a real comp.

I hope he does well, but I never heard much about him in season and not much, if any, hand wringing from the Bears about losing him.

It should be fun to see how he does without a net of a offensive head coach. Some quality coaches have seen potential in him.

I mean, McVay is right there  ;D  Became an OC at 28 with only 3 years of generic "offensive assistant" experience to go with 3 years as a TE coach.  But I guess he had an offensive minded coach in Jay Gruden

Joe Brady? One season at LSU made him the "boy wonder," and got him the OC gig with the Panthers at age 30.

There we go.  Well done.  I'd argue his resume was actually WAY thinner than Doyle to be honest.

Brady was a FCS DEFENSIVE coach, then a grad assistant for a year at Penn St, a general offensive assistant for Sean Payton for a year, then the passing coordinator at LSU.

Doyle was at least with Payton for 3 years in NOLA, then spent a year as a position coach in Denver before the gig in Chicago.

Brady has acquitted himself pretty well I'd say, pending success or failure now that he's in the big chair.  But what's amusing is looking even closer at how ridiculous that first jump was.  Not only was he only in Baton Rouge for a year, nothing about that year other than their wild success should have said "this guy is a prodigy".

2 AA/1st round pick WRs (Chase was a 4 star recruit who was very good as frosh the year before and Jefferson had been the leading reciever the year before with almost 1000 yards).
1st team All SEC/1st round pick RB in CEH who was already projected to be a top 5 RB in the country going into the year.
o
2 TEs who played in the NFL the next year.

Oh and Joe Burrow, who while admittedly becoming a supernova, had already been really good the year before as first time starter and won SEC POTW multiple times.

So he was already playing with a stacked deck, PLUS, its not like he had aura from his coaching mentors there cause Orgeron was/is a defensive coach and Ensminger was a middle position coach who hadn't been an OC for literally 20 years since failing at Clemson before he got promoted to OC for Coach O at LSU.  Then again, maybe the Panthers looked at said "Coach O doesn't know offense and Ensminger is a bum, so it must be all Brady"  ;D
