The contract is contingent on him not getting a head coaching job this cycle.

And now we know why Minter didn't want to talk to Cleveland.

Absolutely horrific story about this former NFL D-Lineman, Kevin Johnson.

I fear that if this happens I'll be spending next year secretly hoping Josh Allen gets hurt.

So who will win the Super Bowl this Sunday, Rams or Seahawks? I'm hoping Rams, but the Seahawks looked unstoppable last weekend.  Either way, it should be a good game.

The Seahawks' defense has a good to great player at every single position, and they are peaking. I expect them to play an excellent game.

I'm hoping that Darnold is close to fully healed and plays well. Macdonald said LT Charles Cross, who is battling a foot injury, should be good to go. Sucks that Charbonnet is out, but Walker has been running great and the OL is playing well.

The Rams are really good and mostly healthy. Should be a great game.

UPDATE: Macdonald said Darnold and Cross both practiced today. Darnold hadn't been able to practice in the days leading up to last week's game.

Should he?
He gives defense Josh McDaniels vibes, and we saw how his second chance went (also leopard and spots).

I don't have a strong opinion on it other than seeing other coaches that have gotten second chances. And he was also right about Tua.

Was he? Because Tua was a top 10 quarterback by QBR and qb rating under McDaniel until his brain got turned to mush.

Also, focusing on the Tua stuff ignores that everyone else in Miami hated him just as much.

Been awhile since the Hawks played a healthy team with a QB1...

Not to mention the track record of Belichik disciples becoming HCs in the NFL is pretty terrible.

He's an incredible DC.  And he's also still only soon to be 45.  He's got plenty of time for another chance but he's gonna need some of that time for some of the bad blood and reputation from his last time as a HC to filter out.

I'm anticipating a Seahawks-Broncos Super Bowl.

Stidham, who has had an entire week to prepare under Payton's tutelage, will do fine. Moreover, the sack-happy Broncos' superior defense will make life very difficult for the Patriots, who already have had trouble protecting Maye all postseason. The Broncos also have one of the better home-field advantages in the league.

The Seahawks are at home, they are better all-around (top 3 on defense, offense and special teams), and they are more well-rested than the Rams. Stafford won't face the same weather he did in Chicago, but it's still gonna be 40-ish and getting colder as the game progresses, not exactly L.A. weather.

All of which means y'all should be betting on the Pats and Rams!

Smallest of small samples, but I was really impressed by the Cardinals defense against the Packers. I thought their defense was largely good until  injuries hit and the team quit in a lost season.

And he did a great job with the Eagles. We'll see.

Week 15 – Faced QB44 Phillip Rivers
Week 16 - Faced Rams minus Davate Addams
Week 18 - Faced 49er's minus George Kittle
Div Round – Faced the most injured team in NFL playoff history

Week 10 - Brisette had played superbly in beating Dallas the previous week and was named QB1 even if Murray had been healthy. So he was QB1. The Seahawks also had already beaten Murray earlier in the season, and almost surely would have done so again.

Weed 12 - Ward was Tennessee's QB1 all season. Not sure why you'd claim otherwise except that admitting he was QB1 would have hurt your obsessive narrative.

Week 13 - Brosner was a train-wreck for sure. But QB1 McCarthy was the NFL's lowest-rated QB in nearly a quarter century; believing the Seahawks wouldn't have crushed him and the Vikings seems quite a stretch. But you do like to stretch the truth when it comes to your obsession.

Week 14 - Cousins was at least as good as, and likely better than, Penix. With Cousins at QB1, the Falcons beat the Rams and Bucs ... but they managed only 9 points against the Seahawks.

Week 18 - Kittle was healthy, played the entire game, was targeted 7 times, and finished with 5 catches for 29 yards. Purdy and McCaffrey were healthy, too, and the 49ers entered the week as the NFL's hottest offense, having averaged 35.7 ppg during a 6-game winning streak. But yes, it was the make-believe injury to Kittle that resulted in Seattle holding them to 3 points.

Div Round - Unless you have data to back up your claim, I'll take it as extreme hyperbole to feed your obsession.

Interestingly, you forgot to mention that the Seahawks played the Div Round game with a QB who was limited by injury. Also, a dynamic RB suffered a season-ending knee injury on Seattle's first possession, and the LT had to leave the game with an injury. You didn't mention those things because you apparently believe that the Seahawks were the only team in NFL history to have gone through an entire season without suffering a single injury.

You're obsessed, but fun (and often loose with your anti-Seahawks "facts")!

Oh, the irony of the Seahawks facing a QB2 in the Superbowl...

Seattle has three losses this year by a total of 9 points. Have they had some QB luck? Yes. They are legit. I'd rank them as the second best team remaining, behind LAR. Today's game should be great.

The discrediting is so dumb.
