Quote from: Dish on December 30, 2025, 05:48:07 PMMy strong belief is Packers/Bears will be the late Sunday afternoon game on Fox. I'd probably say the same if it is Packers/Eagles (late afternoon Sunday).

NFC South winner probably hosts the early Saturday game, my guess is the Patriots host the Saturday night wild card game.

The winner of Ravens/Steelers will almost certainly host the Monday night Wild Card matchup.
Packers/Bears 7 PM Saturday. At least I don't need to wait until Sunday for Packers to be put out their misery.

A recovery day will be nice

Falcons get an early start on Black Monday. Raheem Morris and Terry Fontenot fired.

Jockey

One of these teams is gonna bumble their way to a win.

CreightonWarrior

Unbelievable time for just the 2nd missed XP for bosworth in the last 4 years.

Brutal for the Ravens, but that game is why the NFL is the best league on the planet.

Jockey

Typical of the game. Ravens give away the win.

2 brutal defenses in the 4th quarter.

Dish

That entire 4th quarter man...

I need a heater.

Football is the best and I never want it to end, unless it's my team, in which case the heat-death of the universe can't come soon enough.

Opening lines:

Eagles -3 vs 49ers
Bears -1.5 vs Packers
Rams -10.5 vs Panthers

I have no confidence the Bears will beat the Packers.  Even with GB's injuries.

Suddenly feeling really good about the Bears

MU82

That's some nice clutch kicking and some real stout defense by the Ravens and Steelers.

Both of em shoulda lost.

They finished with the same 8-9 record the Panthers did.

While the Falcons were sacking Morris, the Panthers were celebrating Dave Canales as a fine young coach of a division championship team.

Not a fan of either the Packers or Bears, but I'm rooting for the Pack to win, that's for sure.

A shining example of why records (and stats for individual players) don't always tell the story.

Canales did an incredible job with the team everyone expected to be one of the bottom 3-4 teams in the NFC again. Meanwhile, Morris treaded water at best with a talented young team and then imploded midseason.

Personally I think Morris was toast as soon as they choked away a lead and lost to the Jets to lose a 6th of their last 7 games.  And with Fontenot getting the ax, no brainer.

In other news, Stefanski fired.  I think he'll get another job quickly

Yeah, good coach who's been consistently handicapped by his front office's inability to figure out the QB position.

Quote from: Pakuni on January 05, 2026, 08:42:21 AMStrange indeed. Draft Kings has Bears -1.5, fwiw.

I don't think ESPN can be trusted for lines. They even made a point on Get Up to highlight GB as favorites. Obviously the actual sportsbooks have Chicago -1.5. (maybe the same group that runs their HS Bball recruiting is also handling the NFL betting lines)

Packers have their losing streak to protect.
