Doubtful.  And yes, a Goff weakness is hot reads.  Great at check downs, terrible at getting the ball out quick against a blitz.

A damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario.  Do you let Goff walk and try to find someone better or do you look at the other available QBs and pay market value?  Like so many other teams, Detroit ponied up.  And Goff has put up solid numbers.   But, the era of pure pocket passers is over. 

I said a season ago I would rather have Love than Goff.  That hasn't changed.  But I would rather have Goff than cutting him loose and seeing what else Detroit can land with their cap situation.
