Quote from: MU82 on December 01, 2025, 12:47:55 PMThere's always lots of talk about parity in the NFL, but it really feels like this season is parity personified.

Is there a "great" team? I haven't seen one. There are a handful of teams that most would put at the top of the "they could win the Super Bowl if things go right" list: Rams, Packers, Eagles, Seahawks, maybe Bills, maybe Patriots, maybe Broncos. And then some good-ish teams that either have overachieved or underachieved but could get on a run in the postseason: Ravens, Colts, Chargers, 49ers, Chiefs, Bears.

Despite their #1-ranked defense, does anybody give the Texans a legit chance? Despite their 8-4 record, does anybody think the Jaguars can make a run? How 'bout the Cowboys? The Bucs? I'd say "nope" on all 4, but then again I didn't have the Patriots  and Bears leading their respective conferences after 13 weeks.

The Rams still look like the best all-around team to me, but they have flaws just like others do. Should be a fun stretch drive and then postseason.

I think it was the Athletic last week that had the Rams and Packers as the best bets to get to the SB. Yet neither could beat the juggernaut in Charlotte.

I'm  thinking addition by subtraction - getting you out of Charlotte - ties into this whole deal somehow.

MY Seahawks still have to play MY Panthers in Charlotte later this month. I will be rooting for the Seahawks, which means I'll probably end up disappointed.

Quote from: Jockey on December 01, 2025, 12:31:52 PMIt's a fun time when your team is on the rise.

Realistically, IMO though, their window starts in 2 years. Next year will probably be a bit of a step back, with a tougher schedule and more tape on Caleb.

And for Shaka Shart - I CAN get through a post about the Bears without trashing them or their '85 dynasty.

I'm so proud of you bb

It's gotta be fun being a giants fan watching your first round draft pick actively trying to get himself unalived every week.

I haven't seen Kraft in a long time before tonight and he doesn't look good. Maybe he needs a massage?

Serious question. Has there ever been a wore missed kick attempt than happened tonight?

Do punts count?

Did anyone address what happened?

He looked like some of my tee shots, but at least my driver bounces off the grass and hits the ball.

You can see in a replay that the angle of the hold is down and there's a good likelihood that the kick would get blocked. Hopefully he has a good PR team getting the message out today that he saved the team from a blocked kick getting returned for a touchdown.

That definitely likely comes in as one of the (if not the) worst punts ever.

From Yahoo Sports:

One bettor at BetMGM put $50,000 on the Bears earlier this season to win the Super Bowl at 66-1 odds. The bet would win $3.3 million, which is currently the largest reported futures bet for Super Bowl LX at any legal U.S. sportsbook.

The Packers / Lions game from Thanksgiving is also now the second watched game of all time.

I stopped watching the NFL when Colin Kaepernick kneeled during the National Anthem.  I can take domestic violence, but disrespecting this great country is a line too far.

You're telling me people are still watching the NFL?
