If the bears lose the one seed they should bench Caleb Williams

The Bears may only be favored in 1 of their final 5 games, but it sure is fun right now.

Dare I say, the Bears' window is just about to open?

Hey!!! I was positive about the tanking strategy.   ;D

I feel good about the team and very good about the coach & staff. I think proof positive, coaching matters in the NFL.

Man, the Bills and Steelers are both decidedly mediocre.

The chiefs are going to get into the playoffs and there's not a single team in the AFC I trust to not choke against them.

The NFL has a whole lot of mediocre this year.

Greg Olsen made a good point about the whole "Should Vikings have kept Darnold?" debate.

Had they been able to re-sign Darnold, every time he made a bad play or read, Vikings fans would have been screaming for JJ. Because fans love the backup, especially a high draft pick. Instead, Darnold goes to Seattle, where he is unquestionably the guy.

Did I miss where McCarthy got his concussion or was that just their way to bench him without getting roasted?

I like Olsen, but that's just terrible logic.

He tripped and fell chasing his dog, who was eating his homework. Happens all the time.

Here was a fun exchange on the Fox postgame show:

Terry Bradshaw: "There's something to be said about Sam Darnold not playing for Minnesota this year. Now I know they thought that they had their guy, maybe they do, McCaffrey."

Charissa Thompson: "J.J. McCarthy."

Bradshaw: "McCarthy. I always call him McCaffrey; I don't know why. Anyway ... "

Howie Long: "It's one of the Micks."

He should run for office

There was a time that Bradshaw was quirky and endearing. Now he just doesn't know what he's talking about.

It was obvious when he got hit in the game he was not ok, was also shocked they didn't do a mandatory concussion check.

I said a few years ago I'd be perfectly happy with 9-8. Now it just keeps ticking up.  Even if they finish 10-7 with just the win over the Browns, Johnson is still probably COY.  Steal one of the Packers/Lions games to get to 11-6, im ecstatic.  Some way get to 12-5 and I'm delirious.  Either way, it's been a blast.

It's a fun time when your team is on the rise.

Realistically, IMO though, their window starts in 2 years. Next year will probably be a bit of a step back, with a tougher schedule and more tape on Caleb.

And for Shaka Shart - I CAN get through a post about the Bears without trashing them or their '85 dynasty.

BM1090

Sunday is going to be really fun. It's nice to have both these teams good at the same time.

I'm confident the Packers pull it out and getting Reed back should add a nice element to their offense. A bit concerned about a big step backwards on defense without Wyatt  though.

MU82

There's always lots of talk about parity in the NFL, but it really feels like this season is parity personified.

Is there a "great" team? I haven't seen one. There are a handful of teams that most would put at the top of the "they could win the Super Bowl if things go right" list: Rams, Packers, Eagles, Seahawks, maybe Bills, maybe Patriots, maybe Broncos. And then some good-ish teams that either have overachieved or underachieved but could get on a run in the postseason: Ravens, Colts, Chargers, 49ers, Chiefs, Bears.

Despite their #1-ranked defense, does anybody give the Texans a legit chance? Despite their 8-4 record, does anybody think the Jaguars can make a run? How 'bout the Cowboys? The Bucs? I'd say "nope" on all 4, but then again I didn't have the Patriots  and Bears leading their respective conferences after 13 weeks.

The Rams still look like the best all-around team to me, but they have flaws just like others do. Should be a fun stretch drive and then postseason.
