Eh. Play calling isn't pretty bad and the OL isn't holding up again. Same problem as Cleveland and Carolina.

Why would you go for it on 4th and 9 there?

I'm not exactly sure what you want him to do. He's running for his life, there is no pocket, and players dropping balls.

And the play calling keeps getting him into third and long.

I think it was the right call. But they should have thrown it underneath on the previous play. Have an outlet pass to alleviate the rush.

I don't know how you watch this game and that's the conclusion. He's down 3 of his top 4 receivers, OL has been actively bad. Both the third down and 4th down throws were dots that the receivers just dropped

Especially after last week. Just awful decision making here.

What's the saying? DBs are just WRs who just can't catch?

I actually liked him going for it there, but there's no rhyme or reason to his choices. He's just flipping coins.

Yeah I was thinking they were further back. I agree with you.

These last few primetime games haven't been a great showcase for the NFL.

Wouldn't you want to pin them inside the 10?

May you all love anything as much as Matt loves 3rd and Medium

I honestly would consider running for it on 3rd and then go for it on 4th if you don't get it here.

Passing game hasn't been working.

Or maybe a tight-end screen to Musgrave. Then go for it on 4th if you need to.

But MLF will likely go with 3 receivers all going deep.

MuggsyB

Brutal penalty there.

They just ignored the offsides?

MLF is such a fcking idiot

Hell of a swallowed whistle. Alignment penalties don't apply to the eagles though

It was pretty obvious. Bo Melton again.

Oh it was a penalty on the packers. But eagles I thought came across early so should have been at worst offsetting

How on 3rd an 7 does no one have an assignment on Saquan.

cheebs09

I don't think this stretch will be highlighted on MLF's resume whenever he's looking for a job in the future.

Time to establish the run

I have been at the conclusion that Love isn't it for a while. He has absolutely zero situational awareness whatsoever. I can't remember a QB that was worse in the last 4 minutes of halves as Love is. On the play before his first half fumble he had plenty of time to get rid of the ball. Instead he ends up hurting his center when the best case scenario was a 2 foot gain to keep the clock running with 40 seconds left in the half, and then on the very next play is about to take another sack to get out of field goal range and tries desperately to throw a football like he's shooting a basketball and fumbled away a scoring opportunity. The throw directly to a CB in the Browns game up 10 with 5 minutes to go. The fumble late in the first half of the Cowboys game when you're already leading. Then he got very lucky the last second didn't tick off to lose in OT in Dallas. Just absolutely no situational awareness at all.

And this is why you don't have a lame duck GM who staked his career to a QB he traded up for in the first round to get. He makes an all in trade despite not having a contending roster and now you don't have a first round pick for the next 2 years.
