If I was reffing that game I would've called a foul.

If that was against Marquette down 2 with 1s left I'd best most on here would've called for a foul.

Chase played his worst game in a Marquette uniform, and there was no need to defend like that there, but he got away with one

Was there actual contact? To me it looked like chase pulled his leg back in time and the X player was expecting contact so lost his balance

He clearly stepped on the left foot of Ross.  It was a foul.  Marquette should have put this team away but made far too many miscues with under 10 minutes left.  A road win is sweet, but away from home MU has not been effective at closing out games.  The Maryland win was similar.  Free throw shooting in the waning moments of these contests has been an iffy proposition.  #thegreatescape

Continuity and experience should have helped mitigate this, but apparently not.

The silver lining - Xavier took a one point lead with under two minutes left and MU responded.  The team could have wilted once Xavier grabbed the advantage, but the guys counter punched and claimed a huge road win.  Stevie Mitchell is the star of the game for his defensive plays with this one hanging in the balance.

Road wins are tough in BE and MU has one in the books. This team needs to start playing smarter and moving the ball on offense or they will be making much harder on themselves.

My first reaction was "foul" on MU, but he didn't purposely kick his foot out so just like when you drive through traffic in the lane, the defender is not required to move his feet out of the way.
