ISU led Auburn by 16 at half and gave that up. Doable.

Gotta turn them over somehow and win the foul war.

The problem right now is our defense.  How would you attempt to slow them down?  Within reason of course.

Give Ross and zaide magic heal juice. the def hasn't horrible. refs calling a foul on all their drives. They are hitting a bunch of tough jumpers as well.

Very poor defensive half by Marquette, easily the worst of the year.

Very uncharacteristically allowing a ton of easy buckets at the rim.

Lucky Damarius hasn't missed otherwise they would be down 15+

That Gaudi ISU shooting percentage is more a factor of MUs poor and unorganized defense imo.

Pressing too much away from the hoop and getting easily beat off the dribble

Agreed Dr. V.  But they're a handful.  I thought the half the played vs Auburn was the best I've seen this season.  We must eliminate the chippies in the paint.

I'd say we should throw a zone at them but the few possessions of zone we played in 1st half were atrocious

Iowa State, 64.3% from the field overall, 4-6 from 3, 6-8 from the fT line.

Marquette, 44.1% from the field overall, 7-16 from 3 (that's really good!), 1FTA

All things considered, surprised it's only 9

For sure. If Kam gets going and we can get some stops, it's doable. Tough and unlikely, but doable.

Ya....that didn't work out well.  It's not just the blow by dribble that's hurting us, we're getting pushed around a bit.
