Quote from: MuggsyB on November 23, 2024, 12:16:43 PMGood teams find ways to win.  We gained nothing from scheduling this game, were totally out of sorts late in the 1st, but came through and took care of business.  Great adjustments by Shaka.

What? We gained nothing from a neutral court game against a very long and athletic SEC team that will likely end up being a Q2 win? Q1 if we're lucky?

Gotta be Joplin's career night, though Gold and Chase were really good. Overall, just glad to get out with a win and seemingly no serious injuries.

Chase had some excellent moments and was impactful as always, but he made some really dumb decisions and bad plays as well. I thought it was his worst game. But still not bad.

Can't believe we're living in the land of F 452/1984/Animal Farm/Brave New World/Handmaid's Tale. When travel to Mars begins, expect Starship Troopers

He turned up the defensive pressure nicely in the second half. I thought him and Stevie forcing the issue with the UGA guards really helped turn the tide. All in all, the first half was pretty forgettable other than the big men shooting though.

CountryRoads

Joplin...but he's led the team in (or tied for most) turnovers in 5 of the first 6 games. As a senior, he needs to clean that up and take better care of the ball.

Nukem2

Jop, though he was sloppy at times.

At this point we know Jops great games will always be like 75% complete at best.

If he's gonna give us 6 3s in a game, I'll take the slop any time. Especially since he's also an asset defensively these days

nice to see some of the others step up with kam chillin or having an off day.  i'm sure he's going to draw a lot of attention from the other team.  as long as the others can come thru as they did

HM - Ben

On a day that our usually outstanding backcourt struggled some nice to see the big boys come through. When they shoot 10-20 from 3 were pretty hard to beat!
