OSU now down 11 (43-54) with 9:11 left in the 2nd.  So much for that.

the more curious game is south carolina down 1 to Tennessee (40-41) at their half.  South Carolina?!

OSU loses it 59-66..

South Carolina still hanging with Tennessee 69-72 with 8:02 left in the 2nd

OSU/MSU game has started.. MSU leading 16-20 with 7:22 left in the first.. on pace for another big 10 scoring adventure.. 63-51 if they keep this rate up.

Who reports scores that way?   ?-(
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

not true... away team always comes first.. even in a tourney on neutral court, someone is the home team.. usually the higher seeded team.

You know, I've argued this with Spiral a few times.  He refuses to listen  :P

I'll try it again though....

In a BOX SCORE, yes the home team is always on the bottom, or on the right.  However, after the game, when you report the scores, the BIG number goes first, regardless of whether the winner was "home" or "away".

As evidence, I'll link the ESPN recap of the Nebraska / Kansas game from today.  Kansas was the "home" team.  Notice in the box score, they are listed on the bottom.  But in the recap, it says:

But Brandon Rush helped key a 14-4 getaway in the second half and the Jayhawks held on for a 64-54 Big 12 tournament victory that might help them keep their cool in tight spots down the road.

I think you're the one refusing to listen.. :P just look at any decent ticker.. since you invoke espn as an example, turn on espn and notice their scroller at the bottom.. exactly in the order I post.  personally I prefer this format as it adds a bit more information without adding verbiage.  as such, that is the way I post it... and actually, it's usually a copy/paste operation when I do so it's not even me that's putting it that way to start with.
