Quail Hollow is a dump.  It's a terrible course.  It's laughable the PGA plays there and more laughable the PGA of America holds its marquee event there.

The PGA of America's choices of major venues has been historically bad.  Luckily, that appears to be changing and these dumps are coming out of the rota and being replaced with true gems like Olympic Club, Southern Hills and a revamped Congressional that has been saved from Rees Jones and Tom Fazio's bastardizing of it.  Add in PGA Frisco designed by Gil Hanse and you have something

Yeah, the PGA Tour plays a lot of dumps.

Golf Digest rankings are bought and paid for.

Rain softening the greens.  Helps the big hitters.   Bet on your favorite bomber.

One-trick pony course.  Driver-wedge, rinse, repeat.

So your betting (if you permitted yourself such degradations) would be easy.

I think Rory continues his hot streak and gets the win.

I feel a breakthrough winner.   Zalatoris.   I would go with Wyndham Clark, but Valhalla has some holes that require him to hit a draw off the tee.

On a good course, that's equal to -2

It is.  I'd prefer the Australian Open be the 4th Major but Americans would have a stroke over that.

Typical Tiger Thursday: Make some decent shots early so some folks think he has "a chance," however that's defined these days ... post a mediocre score that already has him all but eliminated ... inspire others to talk about how courageous he is for even being able to walk 18 holes.

Yeah, without reps, he's just another past champ in the field taking up a spot

If it was your buddy Greg Norman would have 7 majors to his credit. You might be one of the guys needing treatment.

Why would I need treatment?  He won it when it wasn't a major or remotely close to a major field.

Had it been a major when he was playing them, I'd have full confidence he'd have choked at least 4 of those wins
