As Marquette got off the bus for the UCLA game just now, Bill Walton said Shaka Smart was a force of nature and our All-American Tyler Kolek was a combination of Nikola Jokić and Steve Nash. I will take that! I hope doing so didn't make us miss another riveting story about Sidney Wicks and Dave Meyers while the present-day MU and UCLA players - guys actually born since Vietnam - were dunking and getting steals.

If I heard "Conference of Champions" one more time, I was going to throw up.

Best line of the night was when Shaka asked his team, "How many of you were recruited by UCLA?" None raised their hands! The "chip" is back!
