Justin Lewis beat them and the coach got fired.  It matters more if you are surrounded by badger fans.  If you don't care about them, it is just another data point, another step on the journey.

took your contrarian pill again today.

It wasn't contrarian at all.

The only game we "gotta" win is our first-round NCAAT game. And then our second-round game. And then our third. Etc. Not sure how that's contrarian.

I strongly dislike Madison, and I really want Marquette to beat them, but I'd rank its importance well behind games against UConn, Creighton and other conference rivals. Not sure how that's contrarian, either.

But we know ... your BIL bags on you if Madison beats MU, so it's the game you circle on your calendar. Well, you earned bragging rights 4 times while Wojo was here ... how did that work out for Marquette's big picture in any of those years?

I strongly dislike the Badgers.  That game happened a month ago.  Marquette plays in the Big East.  The Badgers don’t.

If the Badgers games are still as important to you than the Marquette games, you really need to get high

Hook viper up.

Imagine what Marquette fans would say about Badger fans if they dedicated 3 pages talking about a random February Marquette game against someone like Nebraska on their message boards.  The Wisconsin game thread inside this topic was a solid 4🫏 out of 5

To be fair, if MU was in bubble watch mode it would matter more.

1) they are our # 1 rival. Obsessed to beat them, yes. I know a lot of/married in to a lot of Walmart Badgers that talk more ridiculous shiit than Sultan & 82 combined. BE? I suppose you’ll tell me the Butler matchups get you stoked. 2) high? Hmm. drug free, brah. My body is a temple. Say your prayers. Take your vitamins. Never go light on leg day. With me, brah?

It's "ridiculous shiit" to say I'd rather beat UConn and Creighton - the teams that stand between us and a Big East title - than a non-conference opponent that affects only bragging rights? OK then.

A lot of people consider Notre Dame a bigger rival.  A lot of people would have said that about DePaul at one time, too.

And yeah, the Big East games me more to me.  Beating Creighton last year was lots of fun.  League will always be bigger than a non-con game

Right now none of this should be on our minds whatsoever.  All we should be thinking about is getting healthy, attacking Gtown tomorrow, and  peaking at the right time.

True. If fans don't think those exact thoughts, Marquette players won't get healthy, the team won't attack Georgetown, and there's not a chance in hell of MU peaking at the right time.

Keep drinking. Avoid the hangover.  Then you can play.
