Toughness could win, and Houston is tough, but I'm not overly impressed with their offensive game. I thought, relative to the field, Houston was better last year ... and that didn't work out for them even though they could have had a relatively easy path with all the tourney upsets. We'll see about this time. It still looks WIDE open to me; I see no reason to believe that Marquette (if healthy) doesn't have just about as good a chance.

As a coach whose players often aren't very good at executing things seconds after I draw them up, I was heartened to see Houston's All-America candidate completely ignore the instructions of a Hall of Fame-worthy coach and chuck up an airball at the end of regulation. Man, was Sampson pizzed!

Of course, my kids are middle-schoolers who just forget what they're supposed to do. Jamal Shead is a few years out of middle school, so I'm not sure what his excuse was.

I am good with Davis at UNC. I think he'll be just good enough not to get fired.

Was keeping my eye on that unc game (don't like them anyway) but a lot has to happen for 5-6 teams to come back to us. So that GT win is good. But l'm thinking we have to win BE and tourney no more than 1 more loss to get a 1.  High 2 ok too.

Pretty good game on CBSSN.  Although it's with Gillen.  CSU/SDSU.

I know it's early but I think two #1 seeds are wide open.  I would be surprised if UCONN and Purdue fall off that line.

UNC is NOT a 1seed.

They probably still are. Even with the loss, Tennessee also lost and there's a gap between UNC and Arizona/Wisconsin/Marquette right now.

Tennessee lost to a much better team even though it was on their home floor.

It would also take a lot for Houston to fall off the 1 line.  The top 3 teams have separated from the field.

The 2nd tier is from 4-9.  UNC, Arizona, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Marquette, and Kansas.

That's the group competing for the last 1 seed, all of the 2 seeds, and the top 3 seed.

But Purdue keeps missing free throws.    Empty possessions.

It is, but since I put this on, Northwestern has done just about nothing but launch 3s.

Obviously Edey is run away player of the year.

But mean mugging a guy a foot shorter than him because he dunked over his back doesnt deserve the praise he thinks he does.
