This place is hilarious. Reading without knowing what is happening in the game, I would’ve thought Purdue was losing by what Texas was on Wednesday. Then I look at the score and they’re winning?

Purdue is a very, very good basketball team. Like a lot of teams, how far they go in March largely depends on their matchups.

Their guards are good but not great, and they have the best player in college basketball down low. And a very good coach.

They have been losing almost all game to a team that literally does not have a post presence(even before the foul trouble).

Purdue and Painter have to win it all for people to appreciate how good they’ve been and how good of a coach he is.

He’s basically the new Jay Wright prior to 2016.  He’s been to 4 Sweet 16’s in the last 7 years.  Purdue has been to 13 in their history.  They’ve been to 2 Final 4’s and none since 1980.

Yup. We think we have the second coming of Al on our bench yet outside of a miracle 5 game run in a Tourney they didn’t even deserve to make, Painter has been inarguably a far better coach than Shaka in their careers.

And we’re saying if anything outside of an Edey catch at the rim is a disaster while Braden Smith has 25 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds in the game lol.

And the rest of the team has a collective 29 pts against an unrakned team that cant defend anyone.

Painter and Purdue are a borderline miracle play away from a final 4 in 2019, too

Listen, I’ll laugh if they bomb out again in March and aren’t cheering for them by any stretch but this a good team that can cut the nets down

I agree that they're good but I have major doubts they're a title contender.  They don't defend particularly well and can be pressured and kick the ball away.  Also, if Edey gets into foul trouble once they're not beating the best teams.

Right. And going to break 90 as a team.

Against a D that has allowed over 80 4 times already coming into today.

With their only good performance against South Alabama

So the rest of Purdue did not have 29 pts? Or Alabama has a good defense? Alabama isnt unranked?

Curious what part of what I said is incorrect

Yeah, they’re average at protecting the ball.  However, they’re 21st (early in the season caveat) in defensive effective fg%.  They can defend

That Purdue is not good.   As bad a serious basketball take as has been posted on scoop.
