What does that have to do with this movie or your original post being wrong?

Also, The Irishman is the perfect ending to his Italian mob trilogy.  Perfectly showed the sad lives of mobsters, their families and associates.

I read the review in the SF Chronicle and it wasn’t favorable.  But I guess shouldn't have wrote mixed reviews.

Redemption for muggsy!

Down to 92% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, only 86% by viewers.  Definitely a movie with mixed reviews.

Couple that with Scorsese’s anti-white assessment of the treatment of Native Americans and I’ll pass.  Also, I’m boycotting Deniro anyway for being mean to President Trump

Never saw it

I'm not sure he's made a great film since The Departed.  Good films, not great.

The Departed is overrated and The Irishman is far better

I disagree.  Although Damon may have been miscast.  I wonder if Nicholson is doing alright?  Tremendous actor.

He's 86 and hasn't exactly been a paragon of moderation, but he's undoubtedly one of the GOATs.

Personally, I think Scorsese's best film was Gangs of New York... with Goodfellas a very close second.  Now there's a little controversy.   ;D

Gangs of New York is good except Cameron Diaz is awful in it and DiCaprio was no match for Day-Lewis

My only two critiques as well, though I'm not sure anyone at DiCaprio's age at the time could have matched DDL.

Correct.  It’s really beautifully shot and captures what cities were.  Would have been inconceivable to the “big cities scare me now crowd of 2023”

For sure.  I feel like I could pause that movie at any moment and look around for ten minutes.  The cinematography is easily the best of any movie he's made.

Agreed.  D-D-L actually saved the picture from being mediocre.  He's truly elite, perhaps the 🐐.

D-D-L insists he's done.  I wonder why Tarantino doesn't get him in his last film?  Obviously Jack and D-D-L are the top of the totem pole.

Whoever wrote that should actually not be allowed to write ever again.

I'm not talking about the review of the movie its self thats all subjective

But ripping the casting of two the the best actors of all time is one of the dumbest things ive ever heard. Deniro is fantastic and as most are saying this is one of Leos best performances ever.

I still think a role like Wolf was more challenging and better. But Leo is really fu cking good in this.

I'm a huge fan of Deniro but his work has fallen off. Understandably  so.

Oklahoma doesn’t want to allow even high school kids to learn about the horrific treatment of the Osage people and other Native Americans.

State leaders don’t want whitey to feel “guilty.”

Also: Raging Bull is Scorsese’s all-time masterpiece.
