And that he still wants to play next year. Hypothetically I do understand why the Vikings would be interested, but after the nonsense as he exited Green Bay, and the two years in New York, I can't imagine any team with dreams of contending giving him a chance.

Clearly to make history repeat itself.

It's going to be fascinating. I only see teams wanting him to come in and be a bridge QB and to mentor a guy they draft. I see him wanting to go to a contender, which I'm not sure there's an overlap.

I could see the prophecy fulfilled if the Vikings move on from Darnold and want McCarthy to sit for another year.

If he would sit behind Goff and shut up, I would rather have him than Hooker if Goff were to go down.

O'Connell won't take him.  He runs an offense similar to LaFleur and Rodgers doesn't like the motion and whatnot.

I think people are sort of wishcasting this because of the past but this Vikings FO and staff are a lot smarter than ones of the past.

Correct. And smart, contending franchises aren't going to put up with a guy doing things like skipping mini-camps to travel the world.

The Vikings will end up signing Darnold to a decent deal, but one they can get out from under when they have to.

Bears might take him. They need a QB and Rodgers never loses in Chicago.

Injuries a consequence of drinking fluoride-free water. Can't believe science is canceling him for his beliefs.

You're all avoiding the most obvious.  The browns will cut ties with Watson, and sign Rodgers.

Sigh.

Only if they can get out of Watson's contract.  I don't think they can

I feel bad for Browns fans.  They'll always have a soft spot in my heart for the horrors they experienced in '86, '87 and what Art Modell did but that contract, woof

Somehow amazing that the Kosar years were the best.
