Michigan state only team to make sweet 16,conference was extremely over-rated! We should have beat them today, and they would have been completely shut out!!

One title since the 80’s. They’ve Added PSU….Rutgers….Maryland….now adding UCLA and USC. Sooner or later a conference with 20+ teams has to win.

Year in and year out, the basketball playing Big 10, as a group, is the most fraudulent operation in college sports. Every year in the preseason, the B10 promotions people and the media crank out the same bullchit------that  THIS YEARS B10 is the deepest and most talented in history. This year they got 8 teams in and only 1 goes to the round of 16. In spite of being overrepresented every year, they haven't produce a champion in 23 years.

By contrast the BE gets 5 in and 3 advance.

Lol at this thread. I was planing on starting it to dunk on the big ten if our game went the way we wanted it to.

We had 7 losses this year. 3 of them were to the big ten. Not much smack we can talk unfortunately.

The BigWhatever has a darn fine marketing department, considering how mediocre they are at basketball.

That may sound like sour grapes; I don’t care - it’s the truth.

But the issue isn't one team versus another team on a given day. Absolutely we were 0-3 against the BE this year, and congratulations to Michigan State.

But the fact remains the B10, as a whole, sucks come Tournament time. The BE got 5 of its 11 teams in, and 3 are advancing to the 2nd weekend.

If the measure of a conference is performance in March, tell me whether the B10 or the BE is having the better year. And every BE fan should share that smack with their B10 friends.

As we all know, Michigan State's title in 2000 is the last BigTen championship.

Will adding a couple from the Conference of Champions reverse that trend?  Wasn't the Pac10's last title even further back in 1997 by Arizona?

Their conference might be overrated, but their program isn’t

The Big East champion was thoroughly outplayed by a middle of the road Big Ten team, right? What is with all this nonsense. Be humble, we have a lot of improving to do.

Just because the tournament played out this way this time doesn’t mean a lot. If we went back a few days and everything played again the brackets would look different. Some teams have bad games some teams have bad match-ups. It’s kind of a crapshoot. Sometimes the teams that are the best win it all other times not. I wouldn’t paint with a broad brush stroke based on this iteration.

The Big 12 was the best conference for basketball this year, still only 2 teams make final 16.Thats a poor conference showing! You can't take all the accolad all year, and then crap the bed in the tournament without being called out.It just doesn't work that way!
