I’ll go OMax for his defense. Incredible.

Kolek and Jop were awesome. Stevie awesome on defense too.

OMAx stone cold busting Hawkins was huge.

I loveTKo, though.

Omax missed that layup that would have put MU up 12, then UConn started the run.
He got over that.

But, Omax for the award.  His defense was awesome on Hawkins holding him to 2 for 12 and 1 for 8 from three.  Ballgame.

Hawkins was a shadow of himself. Omax was the reason

I am a recovering “hater” I’ll be honest, but the effort today has absolutely earned massive respect. They will have more clunkers and will get substantially better, but I will never again question their effort.

My first thought was to give it to the bench - sort of like a field bet.

Chase, Jop, Sean, and Ben all had their moments, when they had to play more minutes than might have been expected. Then I realized you have to pick one guy. I thought Jop.

Then I thought about D. Not Jop.

OMax was our standout tonight. And good for him.

Kam-
-most minutes.. stayed on floor
-timely buckets
-handled the point and ran the team a lot when TKO and Oso sat.
-defended the last shot w/o fouling
-nice boxscore
-tried to pick a fight with UConn’s bench

he was relied on heavily in this one.

Well, their bench tried to pick one with him, but he somehow kept his cool. He should probably get SOTG just for that. Not sure why this wasn’t looked at. What a bunch of punks.

Didn’t have that stalled offense when Kolek was out. I saw confidence in Kam Jones.

For us to win the Team had to play their best. They all had great games, including the bench. Each player had a role and they accomplished the nearly impossible. The bench keep us in the game against a top team in the country.

They are all SOTG's today! This team is making history. Enjoy it.

That was Sanogo. And Stu Jackson's finest were out of position (again) and not even looking. That missed out of bounds call (jump ball) with both refs out of position was embarrassing.

I'm also on the O-Max bandwagon for this one. Awesome D, huge 3 with about 3:30 to go, incredible tip-in between the trees when we needed it.

I wouldn't object to any of the other candidates, either, but that was truly amazing D by him all night.

I am getting so tired of these guys spending half their salaries on hookers and blow (and wasting the other half), which constantly causes them to be late posting the SOTG.

So O-Max and Jop played at a higher level relative to their “usual” than Kolek so they should be SOTG? Why should TK be punished because his “usual” is way better than the rest of our players?

That’s just dumb.

So O-Max and Jop played at a higher level relative to their “usual” than Kolek so they should be SOTG? Why should TK be punished because his “usual” is way better than the rest of our players?

That’s just dumb.

Personally I would have gone with Joplin, but for a rare occasion I went with the people's choice.

And held his own defensively down low. I gotta give it to Jop
Sorry, Jop did not hold his own down low. Clingan and Sanogo had lunch on him down low. You must have missed that.
