Two seed, or not two seed?
« on: March 10, 2023, 07:40:14 PM »
F'em all.
1.  What a game.  A heavyweight tussle for the ages.
2. TKo BEPOY.   The only thing that stopped him was fouls.
3.  Foul trouble.  It did not affect the first half.  It affected the second  half.
4.  Joplin picked a good night to heat up.
5.  During UConn's second half comeback, MU stood still and the wrong guys settled for 3's.  The zone worked.  And then they changed their zone.
6.  Kudos to the bench.   Fought with everything they had.  All anyone can ask.
7.  All of the sitting iced Oso and Kolek.
8.  BUT IT DID NOT MATTER!
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

We took Hawkins out of game.

Our bench held it together with our Stars in Foul Trouble.

Love the spirit of these guys.

Total team effort against severe adversity in last ten minutes.
Physical game under the basket might have done them in, but no.

MU fans at Garden must have had great time. Wait till tomorrow

Many important shots and plays, but that Ross three from the corner was huge.

I’m not sure we play like this tonight if not for the crappy performance against St. John’s.  Shaka and the coaching staff had the players ready to go and the guys executed perfectly despite a hostile environment and awful officiating.  This is an instant classic moment in program history.

Absolutely a great job by the bench. Phantom fouls from O'Connell and Anderson led to many bench minutes, and our guys responded.
That bodes well for the dance.

Absolutely love disappointing the legion of UConn fans (what else is there to do in CT? - sell insurance?).

Tremendous gut-check win. The Shaka era continues, and I am willing to ride it.

It was an even game in the first half and we did beat them in the second. It wasn't luck at the end but timely defense.

We're for real and if we can avoid a bad matchup and then beat a 1.....we'll be cutting nets.

I'll go so far as to say the bench did win. Sean Jones was chasing their guards all over the floor, trapping and pressing. Chase Ross looked like a veteran. And Jop not only was red hot scoring, but was asked to defend Sangora when Oso got in foul trouble. I'll give each one of those guys a game ball tonight

I don’t even care if we get a two or three seed as this team is capable of beating any team in the country. There defense was taken to another level today and if the three ball is falling no one can stop us.

I guess I am just surprised that he said something really complimentary about the team when he has been talking trash about Marquette all season, including saying that the regular season championship isn't the "real" Big East champs, it's the winner of the tournament.

I guess I just never expected him to concede that we were actually good.
