OUCH!

Wish I could argue the point, but I cannot. You're right.

No, he's not.  The team with the best records at the end of the conference season deserves the title.

The last quote in this video was by far the best:

This is rubbish.

If Marquette loses at Creighton and still wins the BE they will have earned it, and sure as hell deserve it.

Agreed. If we finish at 16-4 and are the only ones there because we didn't slip up against teams outside the top-5 (unlike Providence and Xavier already) I'll take the title and run.

Heck, yes. That's the beauty of the round robin format. Everyone has their chances.

Agreed. The BE champ is fairly (equal double round robin) awarded to the team(s) that had the best record(s). Do they still share the title or is it by tie breaker and one champ is awarded?

There is no requirement for beating “real” teams on the road. Though without looking, I’d say in almost all years the BE champ won a game on the road against a team in at least the top 5 of the conference, which they’ve currently done against Seton Hall. I think if Marquette finishes 4-1 they will finish at least tied with the best record.

Shared title. Tiebreakers are for seeding in the BET

In the case of a tie for the conference championship, that #1 BET seed has a lot of meaning for fans who placed a “special” interest on MU in the preseason.

Might as well just give them all participation trophies.

You have to earn titles. They should probably play the game barefoot too. And in the snow. Or else it doesn't count.

I don’t think providence can beat Creighton

Yeah, Providence was only 13-0 at home coming in. And now they're 14-0.
