Wojo? You mean that PG from Duke in the mid-90s? I’ve wondered what ever happened to that kid.

Anyone else notice how he's adopted "announcer voice"? First time I saw him it was a huge discongruence hearing that style come out of that guy. So disingenuous. I mean flat Wojo was pretty awful, but it least it was who he was - hearing him trying to mimic "Generic Sports Announcer - Type 2" is just cringe, as the kids say...

I can't believe this line hasn't been used yet.

He wasn't hired by FS1 because he doesn't know anything about Big East basketball.

So serious.

It is a good line, I'll grant you that.

But the reality is that he's at ESPN because he's a Duke/ACC guy. I kind of have a feeling that n a relatively short time Marquette will be significantly deemphasized in Wojo's bio. And I'm OK with that and don't blame him.

Incredibly bad coach for way too long. How did he survive as long as he did? I’m just finally recuperating from his term and enjoying bball again with Shaka. I called it within a couple years after Wojo was hired how poor he was in so many areas.

This is not his only job since he got fired for incompetence 7 years too late.

He's a man of many talents outside of coaching, managing and recruiting.  I hear he's getting amazing tips now and none of us should feel sorry for him.  Always knew he'd "land on his feet".

Gosh, there's a lot of animosity toward Wojo.

Gang, let it go. We're in good shape and moving upward.

I hope he's successful as all get out and in time speaks fondly of us as we cut down the nets at the Final Four.

The biggest indictment of Wojo is national media are now saying Marquette is getting back to being Marquette again.

i don't think there are many here who will come on here and say, yeah, i sure do miss me some wojo-geez that seems like a long time ago.  as bro dog said earlier here, let er go.  we did have a few brief(very) moments of hey, maybe we...nope.  only to get beat up time after time after...maybe thats why some want to continue to revisit "that era".   to try to heal?  fine...

...but one thing i will never get over regardless of how many hours i spend in my therapist's office-WARRIORS because that was a true injustice and a great time to be a WARRIOR FAN.  some of us just will not let that one go; wojo who?  i can hear the "not this again" but i just saved myself an hour of therapist couch time-thanks for listening  ;)

Is this a hot take? Watching his various teams was not enjoyable. It was just gross, frustrating basketball. Not even necessarily winning vs losing.

No, it’s only hot if you base enjoyment on college basketball when there’s a whole world around you of far more important things

Just because college basketball is something that you can enjoy doesn't mean that it's the only thing one can enjoy.  You understand that enjoyment of college basketball isn't mutually exclusive with joy in any other area of someone's life, right?

Not many said Wojo could not recruit. It's just that he never got all his recruits to play to their potential.
