Caca de toro! Highland Park has some of the strictest gun control measures on the books, including assault weapons. Sick and evil twisted people will always find a way. Hell, you can easily learn to construct a bomb on the internet and the Idaho killer used a knife. Quit being an apologetic and delusional excuse fabricator. Its the people, its the people, hey?

Yup.  That’s why I don’t follow any traffic laws or drug laws

So we shouldn't do anything unless it is 100% effective?  Where else do we apply that level of logic to our society?  Especially when there are countless examples of common sense laws being effective in other socieities?

Someone here is suffering from delusion, but it certainly isn't MU82.

I did a google search, as of today, no one at Seagull Alternative High School has been murdered since the judge took away this sick and evil person's guns. How is this possible if they will always find a way?

It's always the same old recycled stupidity that has been shown to be illogical non-sense a hundred times before, weak minds regurgitating failed talking points.

It is soothing to believe that murders are the product of undeterrable and uniquely evil people, but that is incorrect.  Murders are just really probability coming home to roost.  The number of evil people - and their motivation - will be roughly constant. The number of murders is therefore dependent on the other, amoral factors that surround those evil people. Access to tools of murder, and the rate at which they can be used to kill, is one of those significant factors.

Brother Mugsy et al:

The question raised was what legally can be done about it.

Clearly, the adults overseeing the child were negligent. Legally, the injured teacher can and probably should litigate the matter in civil court. Damages should be off the wall.

Depending on homeowners insurance caps and the personal net worth of the parents, there is some financial responsibility that can be required. Beyond that, unless you can prove the parents are criminally negligent, not sure there's anything else.

Yep. More than half domestic partner murders are done with guns. Spouses/significant others argue ... a gun is handy because FREEDOM! ... and bang. Was the shooter inherently "evil"? Was Kyle Rittenhouse "evil"? How about George Zimmerman?

Easy access to guns make it easier for both evil and "regular" people to kill. The proliferation of guns makes it easier for 6-year-olds to kill, too.

But yeah, if that evil first-grader really was intent on killing, he'd have done it with a purple nurple or by farting his victim to death. So never mind.

From the WSJ:

6,542 -- The number of firearms the TSA discovered in carry-on bags in 2022—the highest number of violations since it was founded in 2001. The agency said 88% of the guns were considered loaded.

Disappointed it wasn't more. We need more guns being sneaked onto airplanes. Freedom!

Gun deaths by country in 2019

1. Brazil — 49,436
2. United States — 37,038
3. Venezuela — 28,515
4. Mexico — 22,116
5. India — 14,710
6. Colombia — 13,169
7. Philippines — 9,267
8. Guatemala — 5,980

The U.S. has the highest gun ownership per capita in the world. Nice company we're keeping, eh?

I'm highly confident the numbers in both Mexico and India are under-reported, but yes thats dubious company

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — In the hours before a 6-year-old boy shot his first-grade teacher in Virginia this month, school leaders were warned three times that the boy might have a gun, a lawyer for the teacher said on Wednesday, including requests from employees to search the boy’s pockets and a report from another child who said that the boy had shown him the gun at recess.

That heroic teacher is going to get paid.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.
