Why the issue with reclaimed brownfield?

They did a parallel thing in Chicago.
Harbor Shores, too.

The course gets roasted by those that know.  The views save it

Watching the replay of The Memorial. Major set up and conditions on the course . Unfortunate that Rory could not close . Big win for Hovland.

It’s that time of year again — time to apply for (and not get) Masters tickets. My oldest daughter has developed an interest in golf (thanks, Netflix) and also wants to apply for tickets. She got a response saying someone else at her address — an apartment building — already applied. Well, of course they did. It’s an apartment building. Hundreds of people live there. I can understand the “one application per household” rule, but do they really apply that to apartment buildings? Does anyone know if she can call and get a workaround?

That's strange. There's a space for an apartment number to be entered on the address form.

From the site, maybe someone can help- For additional information regarding ticketing please contact the Masters Tournament Ticket Office at (706) 667-6700.

Thank you. She did include her apartment number. Actually the response that she received gave her that number to call and I suggested she call them. I don't think she called yet (she just tried to apply yesterday evening). Hopefully they will do something that will allow her to apply so she can be disappointed when she does not get tickets.

Here's a cool story ...

Just hours after winning the Memorial, Hovland is caddying for college buddy Zach Bauchou at a U.S. Open qualifier in Columbus. Hovland will be carrying Bauchou's bag for 36 holes.

Played Pinehurst Number 2 today. Green complexes are brutal. Can hit what looks like an excellent approach and the shot doesn't hold the ball  will roll off the green and go 30 yards down a slope .

Harold Varner III won LIV this week. Next LIV after US Open. So those who qualify should be well rested and ready to go.

He's gonna be REALLY well-rested for the next LIV event because he won't have to play in that pesky U.S. Open after failing to qualify.

https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/luke-decock/article276122731.html?ac_cid=DM807869&ac_bid=-1187699606

Harold Varner III was unambiguous about his financial reasons for jumping to the LIV Tour, but having to qualify for the U.S. Open after top-30 finishes at the Masters and PGA was one of the consequences.

Wow, that's a stunner -- not necessarily that it happened, but that it happened so soon.

Need a lot more details to form any opinion and to know who "won." Just from the little bit I've read about it so far, though, the golfers have won for sure in the form of more $$$.

Players finding out via Twitter is something.

Golf is entirely run by the PIF, very cool.

Imaging not taking a crap-ton of money to not play for the Saudis to only wake up one morning to find out you're playing for the Saudis.

Being absolutely ripped on Twitter

https://twitter.com/JoeMcCann3/status/1666091602341928960

I love following Joe, but I wouldn’t exactly use a tweet from him for the pulse of the sports media world. Although, it seems in line with many.

I’m pretty shocked by this. For it being For Profit and Yasir as the top person, this means that LIV is taking on the PGA? I thought for sure LIV would be more desperate for a deal with the lack of TV deal.

Ugh. I don't want to be hyperbolic pending details, but I may have just had a lot of my summer sports following time open up. The PGA must have been pretty confident it was going to lose the antitrust suit.

They've already announced the merger is for-profit.
