Arkansas is bringing in thee five star recruits and three four star guys to form what should be the most talented roster in the country.  Marquette won't be a pre-season Top 25 team until the late year collapses stop repeating themselves.

Well...I believe Borzello had us preseason #2 and then H and H left two weeks later.

Why would anyone expect MU to be top 30?  Will they even be a tourney team next year?  Seems they are likely losing the best players they have and don’t have great talent on the roster or coming in.  Better cross your fingers they hit the jackpot in the portal.

I guess he doesn't think much of Ben Gold.

Tough to keep track of all the transactions from high school verbal commits since the November signing period to the Transfer Portal.  My guess is that Borzello just missed Gold.

He might not think much of Ben or has never looked into his background since he's coming from a foreign country, so I'm not going to read into Ben being left off the players list.  Still a lot can change with transfers and high school/junior college recruits until final rosters are posted next fall.

We're doomed. And not just next season, but for years and years (if not forever). Let's cut bait on Shakiet now and start over with a winning coach like Ben Howland or Cuonzo Martin.

Not sure I see the point of putting out a preseason top 25 until the transfer portal shakes out.

There isn't.  It's just for shts and grins.  If Lewis comes back I could see us being around 17-20.

It sure beats being picked for second last in the BE in the preseason. One step at a time.

We should be alright Goose.  I know the end of this season sucked but we still have some solid pieces.  We definitely need to find a big in the t-portal that can clean the glass for starters.  Also, do we have a guard who can attack off the bounce and make things happen in the half-court?  it's never a bad thing to get a guy with handles and blow by skills when things get stagnant.

That's why it's called clickbait. This stuff generates clicks in the very, very long college basketball offseason.

We epically collasped in 2019 and ended up ranked #2 in the Way Too Early Polls.

Marquette proved to be better than the "experts" predicted.
Maybe next year, the team will also surprise the "experts" in a positive way.

In 2022-23, Houston is too high at No.2, although they will be good.

A good rebounding and defensive team starts with athletic 4s and 5s. UHs front line wont be as experienced and dominant, so the R&D will drop off some from prior years. Offensively, next year will light it up, in comparison. The 3 top 100s coming in will be special (Walker/Arceneaux, esp.). I would like to see a transfer in of a front liner or two, someone like Carleton who came in from UConn this year.

If UH can become the local destination school watch out ...the Houston area always produces talent galore, but most have gone to the marquis programs, elsewhere.

Heck Phi Slamma Jamma was simply Guy V grabbing a gangly big guy from Africa, who preferred Houston over the cold weather of St Johns (Akeem Olajuwon) and a bunch of kids from local HSs (Drexler, Young, Micheaux, Anderson, Winslow, Gettys, Rose  etc).
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

Totally agree. Do this in May or June.
