IIRC, that was part of the Marquette Select rollout last season to incent. Others had the choice of making a $100 donation to keep their point totals.

I did as you last season. I thought we had that option (keep our seats) when we signed up recently or pick a chance to upgrade. As you saw, there is a lot of fixed inventory so I believed that is the reason.

I could be wrong as this is very confusing.

Ah hell, you may be right... as you said, it's all very confusing.

The messaging this time around has been really poor, from that to group selection. I know they're short staffed at the ticket office, but they're also likely dealing with hundreds of fewer accounts this time around.

Hopefully things normalize, they get staffed back up, and this process goes a lot more smoothly next time around.

The 2021-22 season is fully reseating. Next year you can keep your same seats or upgrade. Also, accounts are around the same as in 2019-20.

And on top of that all the uncertainty of this past and upcoming year, I don't blame them and give a pass.

If that's the case, then why were so many seats already taken prior to the re-seating process even starting?  And again, these weren't blocks of seats or seats you could assume would go to the visiting team or something...these were hundreds of seats scattered around the lower bowl.

Do university employees and maybe some high donors get some priority?

This. Why can’t we link accounts again? Shouldn’t matter if accounts are linked.

In section 106, the row i was in two years ago has currently two sets of four tickets already taken.  I recall from two year ago that those groups of tickets were never taken for most games.  Someone told me they were corporate seats.  I asked a person sitting in those seats (miracle of miracles) about the tickets and he said that a friend had been given tickets through his employer and let him use the tickers.  So many seats for so many games were vacant in that row.  Such a shame. Many of those games were against top Big East teams.

That was my first year finally in section 106.

I was pretty sure that I was not going to renew last year. However, I decided to buy and donate the cheapest seat to keep my options open. I was fine watching the games on TV last year. I rather be at the games, but it is not worth the cost to actually go to the games.

I will no longer have to drive a 100+ mile round trip. Drive is not bad, if it is not snowing. In recent years the roads have not been bad, but I have experienced an hour trip home turning into two or three hours. I just assume not worry about the roads anymore.

I drive from Chicago and it is a long day fir a basketball game.  But I’m buying season tix again and will decide, if we can go to games at all, which I will go to and sit with friends.  But yeah - getting harder each year and when there’s bad weather ugh.  Took me a tense three hours once to get back because of snow.

Lots of great seats available right now at all price levels.  Good luck this evening Sir.

I split a package the last few years with a university employee and there is a huge discount.

Due to the politics of the program last season, neither one of us wanted to renew, but it was a great deal.

University employees get a discount, but not priority.
High donors certainly would get higher priority.

Just selected.  Ended up staying in the same section but moving up 7 rows.  Lots of good seats available.

I pick tonight around 4:00 pm and just checked the available seats. The seats I was supposed to have last year are still available but everything one or two rows lower are almost gone. Row 9 is the price change row so was hoping to get to that row this year. I was surprised since my rank was 792 last year and now is in the 480s so I was hoping to move down a couple of rows this year. I am sure I will have similar seats to the last couple of years.

I picked last night and got the same seats as 2019 or within one row...can't remember exactly.  Still on the aisle.

Yes—I think they do maintenance on the site in the evening and early am. I’m hoping by 900 am things are back up.
