Am a 10+ yr season ticket holder, non MU grad (daughter's the grad), college basketball fan but one who sorrows over the over-worshiping of pre college and college level athletes.

WAY too much coverage and conversation, in this arena and many others about the whereabouts and decisions to be made by today's gypsy, so called student athletes.
I'll wait until November to see who shows up and see what team we put out on the floor. In March I'll see where we finish.

Until then I'll focus on much more important topics other than where the next second coming star attends school (sic) or transfers.... Do like the comedy and some banter here for entertainment's sake.

I think that most people not on fan sites feel the same way you do.  But worship is a strong word.  Most rabid fans even on muscoop don’t worship these athletes.  They are simply interested in their decisions because it impacts the team they like to root for.

Your on a college basketball fan site in June, what else would you like them all to talk about?

We could go into the deeper discussion of athletes in general being worshipped more then doctors, Nobel prize winners, etc...

Sorry man, the only people that went to MU are real fans. Maybe have your daughter approve your posts from now on, until then I'll consider your posts as drafts. Do like the gatekeeping, though, for entertainment's sake.

The amount of angst some people have about student athletes daring to transfer to another university is a lot worse than any "worshiping" that's going on

There is more Arby's worship here than athlete worship.

It makes me cringe when I look at a young players Twitter or Instagram and all it says is GOAT.  Not everyone is the goat. We can’t all be goat. There’s one goat. And that’s…
