Well earned Hall of Fame recognition for former Bucks great Bob Dandridge .
Winning is overrated. The only time it is really important is in surgery and war.

Maybe my fave Buck of all time. I actually patterned my low post turnaround from Bobby D.

He played back when forwards were expected to post up down low and do their scoring in the 5-15 foot range. He was as good as any forward in the low post game.

If he played today, he would be a Kris Middleton clone.

Yes. Eddie Doucette gave him the nickname.

With his famed 'pancake' jumper.  Bobby D was awesome. Played hard every day and understood his role on a team with two legendary superstars.  Well deserved honor.

You obviously remember him well. He was almost unstoppable on his baseline turnaround jumper.

Heck, even living out here in CT we got to see a lot of Bobby Dandridge.  Back when CBS had the Jabbar Bucks on seemingly every Sunday.  That was a fun time for basketball with the Chamberlain-West-Goodrich Lakers and the Havlicek-Cowens-White Celtics and the Jabbar-Dandridge-Robertson-Allen Bucks and the DeBuscherre-Monroe-Frazier Knicks and the Unseld-Hayes-Chenier Bullets and the Walker-Love-Van Lier-Sloan Bulls.

Gosh, I'm old.  I know the players from 1972 better than now.

That was the golden age of Basketball . As you point out was very fun to watch.

Yes. Eddie Doucette gave him the nickname.

I was in elementary school when the Bucks were a new franchise and Eddie Doucette had nicknames for seemingly every player in the league.  I remember listening to the Bucks games on the radio.  I had a spiral notebook that I used to write down all the players that Doucette gave nicknames to.  Wish I had that today.  I saw a local news interview last night of Dandridge and they asked him how he would describe his game to those who never saw him play.  He said he had no weaknesses.  Played well in all facets of the game.  He also was extremely complimentary of Larry Costello and said he knew a major role of his was to "get the ball to Kareem."
