If Koepka or Louie could putt, they would be at -10.   Koepka the Borg gets it done.

But what if I don't want him to win?  Who steps up among those sitting 3/4 strokes back?

Your wants have very little to do with the outcome.   The low round for the week is 67.   It would be a shocker if somebody shoots better than that today.   The odds of all three of the leaders spitting the bit is slim.   All 3 know how to win.

Low scores out there for the guys going out early.   Could bring in the guys at even, Muggsy.

This is setting up perfectly for a guy like Koepka, who can make all the shots and who repeatedly has had nerves of steel in these situations.

It may be over after that two shot swing on 1.  Terrible hole for Lefty.

I love it when the PGA plays on tough courses and sets them up hard . Brings out the best in the most elite players.

Lets see what happens down the stretch.

And Koepka butchers two.
While Streelman hacks up 3.

Game on

His 4th shot was an impossible lie.   Nobody on the planet gets it close from there.   And only the lucky get it on the green.

Phil could not go for the flag on 3.  But he did.

Koepka proving me wrong, as he cracks under pressure. Mickelson, meanwhile, has been one cool customer even as he rides the waves of the crowd's emotion.

Fun stuff!

I am happy.   Going to be a far too interesting final 8 holes.   I hope Phil holds on and makes history.

Man, was I wrong about Koepka. Too many loose shots, too many cruddy putts. He's toast now.

I hope somebody makes Phil sweat because I love a dramatic finish, but if not this is a tremendous story. If Phil holds on to win, it might end up being the top sports story this year, and that hole-out from the bunker will be a legendary shot.

Louie is the only one with a shot so to speak.  Koepka going 7, 6, 6, on the Par 5's is inexplicable.  Has looked awful since the 1st hole.

And then there were none.

I think Phil has slow played Brooks out of his rhythm.

Tiger now has a goal.   He can't let Phil have this record forever.   Probably sitting at home cursing the rest of the field for falling away.
