Shaka/VCU get Al McGuire reference in 2011
« on: March 27, 2021, 09:59:34 PM »
This was “Whoah weird” enough that I thought it should be shared.

Decided to watch highlights of VCU’s 2011 Elite Eight win over #1 seed Kansas. The SportsCenter highlights were good, and then all of a sudden at the 2:27 John Anderson makes a reference to Al McGuire out of nowhere:

Seems like a crazy coincidence that 10 years (almost to the day) from their big win that Shaka would be linked to Al McGuire forever as our newest coach.
