The NorthernDancerColt normally doesn't like toiling for the big name head trainers. The NDC would rather breeze bullet workouts in company with my lesser name trainers' allowance horses than be the pre-dawn target fodder for the GradedStakes monsters sent out by the Bafferts of the world. The NDC finds his barn is mucked much nicer by the unknown assistant grooms than the big-time head corporate names.

However, the NorthernDancerColt lives in reality, and thus knows the future of the historic MU Stables THIS TIME cannot afford to be entrusted to an inexperienced exercise rider moonlighting as a trainer. Stud fees are declining and the barn is hanging by a Covid thread. If the NDC is gonna breeze 47 and change, he better know his trainer can read a condition book and properly space his two-minute licks to ready him for the first Saturday in May, er 3rd Sat of March. The NDC may have some age-related infirmities, but he needs a human he would run his eyeballs out for. Great workouts without a winning race to match in the afternoon....well..that's known as a morning glory....and the NDC and his MU stablemates have had enough of those here at the MU highlyUN-Stables.
