The Pfister has lost a lot of the NBA teams over the past 1.5 years. Suns are at the Journeyman and pretty hectic around the hotel.

Any particular reason?

real

I park the Pfister everyday and have become friendly with the staff and I think it stems from LeBron wanting to move to the Journeyman and everyone followed. It definitely was a blow to The Pfister and the staff. MLB is still staying there and the MLB guys take good care of the staff.

I’ve spent time at both, but not stayed at the Journeyman. Stayed at the Pfister a long time ago.

I would guess the Journeyman has more modern amenities. It’s also in a more lively location. Plus, it’s not haunted as far as I know.

I missed the start of the game. What kind of reception did the Milwaukee crowd give Jae Crowder when he entered the game?

Your average bucks fan didn't go to MU so I doubt it was anything special. I'd wager Kaminsky got more cheers when he entered the game.

speaking of the Journeyman Hotel, is Kaminsky's picture up on any of their walls?

Appreciate the info.  As I said, I had no clue what had happened in the time since COVID. Given the NBA’s normal accommodations city to city, the Journeyman makes a lot more sense than the Pfister, but it’s still a nice hotel with history and tradition.

Stayed there twice in my early 20s, for a wedding and a college conference, when both the Bucks and Brewers had opponents in town.  I once rode the elevator down with some Yankees, went to dinner, came back to my room to get ready to go out and rode up with some of the Nets.

Cannot wait for tipoff tonight. This is most excited I have been for an NBA game in 20 years. Really hoping that Giannis & Co can deliver tonight.

Agreed Goose!  What a great opportunity that doesn’t come along very often.

Have stayed at the Pfister several times over the years (live 50 miles from downtown Milwaukee when I am in Illinois so I usually just go home). Positives are a great staff, elegant rooms and good on-site dining options. Downside is the noise, particularly on the east side of the old building. MCTS has a bus stop right in front of the side entrance to the hotel and that's irritating early in the morning or late at night.

I'm guessing LeBron was awoken by an MCTS bus one night or by a 4 a.m., dumpster call.

Kimpton Hotels are across the board. Some are really good. Some are notably average. The Journeyman looks really great and quite hip. In the "right" neighborhood for Milwaukee (though I do like the restaurant scene near and in Cathedral Square). I'm also partial to the East Side, particularly around Brady. Neither hotel is easy walking distance to Brady.

In the meantime, go Bucks!

Winning is overrated. The only time it is really important is in surgery and war.
