I didn't have a chance to watch the game yesterday and I can't seem to find anything injury related.
Why did Greg only play 4 minutes?

Greg went out when Marquette had a 9 point lead. Butler didn't cut it closer than that until the last 2 minutes when all the starters were in. I think Dexter's defense is better than Elliott's at this point.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Greg is a nice spot up shooter and energy guy. Unfortunately, whether due to his injury history or something else, he can't stay in front of his guy on defense (like, at all), and it is still a massive adventure whenever he has to handle the ball. Both of those issues bit him in the Butler game.

Agree with those observations ... and yet I was still surprised Greg got so little run yesterday. There were 3 or 4 times that Symir either missed that pancake shot of his or didn't shoot when wide open, and I was wishing that was Greg.

But yeah, Symir has become quite a bit better defensively than Greg, and also handles the ball better.

Darn, I would have loved to have seen what Greg coulda been had he been healthy his whole time at Marquette.

Here's a snippet from his pre-injury days.

Yup, he did some really good things as a frosh.  Think his injuries have robbed him of that X-factor he had before injuries.  In last week’s Inside Marquette program on TV,  there was an interview with Greg and his sister Gabby.  After that snippet, Wojo said that “Greg is still learning how to play with his new body”.

I think Greg contributed greatly to our loss to St. John's.  He made a couple of crucial mistakes. Dexter seems to be cutting down on his mistakes.
