ugh. I think ultimately this is a perfect storm of way too high expectations coinciding with lots of Ls.
It hurts the fan perspective when a team beats 2 top 10 opponents early on and then "collapses".

Wojo just seems like he wants the season to be over at this point.

It sounds like he is frustrated with the players.  Why?  Because they don’t run the plays he calls or don’t listen?  They don’t practice hard enough?   They don’t try hard enough?   If any of that is true, I start Oso and dexter and 3 walk ons next game.  Why nit.

Isn’t that how Buzz seemed in his last year?

Yes, it's very much like that, with the difference being that Wojo has nowhere to go.

Wojo will have options and opportunities, possibly as decent as VTech was when Buzz went. Do you recall that it was accurately considered a step down from MU? Wasn’t there recently a thread of Wojo going to Penn St?

That was just one poster speculating.  When Buzz left for Virginia Tech, he had been to the Sweet 16 or better in 3 of the last 4 seasons.  What's funny is he probably could've had the Texas job if he'd waited it out one more year at MU, but the way things were behind the scenes, that wasn't going to happen.

Wojo will have no P6 opportunities after the season.  That ship has sailed.

Solid points. While I believe that Wojo will have options and opportunities, if he (hopefully) is willing to explore them, I accept that you are correct that they won’t be P6 possibilities, especially in COVID times.

wojo is similar to Tommy Amaker. Dud at Michigan, doing well at Harvard. I see there’s an opening at Fordham. Might be a better fit. Jesuit school like MU, with no expectations.
Moron? Maybe. Dork? Possibly. Lost? Definitely.

He isn't happy with the effort.

It's pretty clear, Wojo does not know how to motivate.  This might be akin to Ted Williams not being able to coach hitting.  Wojo obviously never needed motivation on effort as a player.

I went to the MU game at Butler during Henry's season.  Henry had twisted his ankle the game prior (a win over GTown).  We had won 3 of 4.  The loss was to Nova.  A win at Butler on the last day of the season gets us to 9-9 and more on the bubble.  I arrive early to show my son around Hinkle.  Henry's warming up.  He's going to play!  I thought this is it, we're back, we're rising.  We lost by 21.  Finish conference 8-10.

I should have known then.

I don't think motivation is Wojo's problem at all.  I think tactics and adjustments are his problem.

Not exactly a glowing review of Wojo’s thought processes.

He isn't happy with the effort.

And we shouldn't be happy with Wojo's effort if he really did say he ran the last play in regulation because it had gotten a dunk for Carton the possession before.

The problem is the dunk came well into OT.

I don't think Wojo is going anywhere, but frankly, at this point I don't see how the admin can't make a move.

I've never been on the fire wojo bandwagon, but moreso because I was worried about what it would do to our recruiting class and returning players.  Well, next years recruiting class isn't impressive at all IMO, and I think that Carton/Garcia are probably a coinflip to stay regardless of what happens.

It is time to move on.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

I would disagree because I don't think there's a hunger or fire in his teams.  Effort wanes at times.  We never play like our backs are to the wall.  The closest we come to that is "2 minute drill Koby".

Yeah I don't see that.  Yesterday the effort was really good.  Sure they sucked it up offensively but defensively they were pretty solid, and that's where effort shows.
