Mathematically this is true. But we need to find another gear if we're going to end up hunting anything other than a comfy seat on the couch come the NCAA Tournament.

Agree! and With COVID I wouldn’t participate in any post season tournament other that the  NCAA

It's a psychological strategy by Wojo to have the collapse earlier in the season so fans aren't so dismayed by the end of the season.
